Orientation Week is an annual event at the beginning of the academic year where a series of events are held to welcome new students. The Orientation Week 2021 was second Orientation to be held online on 23-27 August, 2021. This event is organized by Student Organization which consists of BEM, MPM and Menwa. Each year, Orientation Week has different theme and this year’s theme was Rectitude. The event usually begins with the opening speech from Rector of Swiss German University and Head of Orientation Committee. The new students will experience fun and exciting activities such as seminar with motivational speaker, Campus Tour, Faculty Presentation, UKM Presentation, Talent Show and Team Building Games.

Moreover, during the Orientation Week, new students will be divided into several groups, consists of 10 – 12 members per group. Each group will be accompanied by mentors who are members of BEM and MPM. Mentors are responsible for the new students for the whole week of the orientation.

The Orientation Week is not only for students to have fun, but also to prepare them for the actual university life. Several important points are stressed out during the orientation such as punctuality, honesty, respect, responsibility and teamwork.
